Curious fifth graders spend the day with Marietta’s scientists

The floor littered with fragments of colorful balloons and the smell of smoke still lingering in the air, the two fifth-grade girls knew it had to be something good.

College honors 52 employees for 590 years of service

potash-hillTwo Marietta College employees will always have the honor of saying they retired at the same time as President Jean A. Scott.
 
On Tuesday, May 8, the entire campus will get a chance to say good-bye to those two long-time employees — Dr. Sid Potash, Professor of Human Resources, and Mabel “Sunny” Hill, Building Services Custodian — during the annual employee recognition program at the College. The program begins at 10 a.m.

Assistant Professor named Ohio’s Athletic Trainer of the Year

rager-jessicaMarietta College’s Jessica Rager, Assistant Professor and Athletic Trainer, was recently named the Ohio Athletic Trainers’ Association Athletic Trainer of the Year.
 
“When I look at the names of the individuals who have received this award in previous years, I see names of mentors, colleagues and friends; individuals who I have looked up to and admired for years,” Rager said. “To have the privilege of joining this group of prestigious, engaged and passionate professionals is an honor unimaginable to me. I feel so blessed to have the privilege of serving with such passionate professionals and have amazing mentors that have guided me along the way.”
