Like most pending graduates, Caleb Muller ’13 (Bexley, Ohio) can’t believe how quick four years at Marietta College passed.
So leading up to the 176th Commencement ceremony (watch it live), which begins at 1 p.m. in the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center, Sunday, May 12, Muller is going to relish every moment he has left on campus and with his friends.
“I will miss my friends at Marietta College the most. I have spent four years building strong relationships with my peers and professors,” Muller said. “It’s definitely going to be sad parting ways with them, although I hope to maintain good contact after graduation.”
Muller, a McCoy Scholar and standout long-distance runner for the Pioneers’ track team, will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. He will join approximately 340 other Marietta College seniors as they become members of The Long Blue Line.
While many of the graduates participated in a number of Senior Week activities, the Commencement festivities really get underway Saturday with the traditional Strawberries & Crème lunch from noon-1:30 p.m. The Baccalaureate begins at 2 p.m. on Fenton Court and then the Family Graduation Reception is from 3:30-5 p.m. at the President’s Home.
Carl Bernstein, a Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist, is delivering the keynote address. It will also be the first Marietta commencement for Dr. Joseph W. Bruno, who became the 18th president on July 1.
