Steelers CFO up next for Economic Roundtable on March 6

tyler_robertRobert J. Tyler Jr., Director of Finance and CFO for the Pittsburgh Steelers, will be the penultimate speaker in the 2013-14 season for the Economic Roundtable of the Ohio Valley.

Tyler will be at the Parkersburg Country Club at noon, Thursday, March 6. He will speak about “Current State of the League and Moving Forward.” Tyler will also do a Leadership Q&A at 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 5, in the Alma McDonough Auditorium. The Q&A is free and open to the public.

Tyler has been with the Steelers organization since 2007. His responsibilities include overseeing all financial and human resource operations, as well as coordination of legal services. Tyler also serves as one of the Steelers’ primary liaisons with the NFL League Office.

Prior to joining the Steelers, Tyler was the executive director and CFO for a Pittsburgh law firm, which was preceded by work in one of the big four accounting firms. He has been a CPA since 1984. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Accounting from Duquesne University in 1981.

The Economic Roundtable of the Ohio Valley is a non-partisan non-political educational organization that formed in 1982 as a result of collaboration between the Business and Economics Department at Marietta College and a group of business, civic and educational leaders. The object of the Economic Roundtable is to promote an interest in and to enlighten its members and others in the community on important governmental, economic, and social issues. Since its inception, the Economic Roundtable of the Ohio Valley has presented the Ohio Valley with more than 160 distinguished speakers who have enlightened and informed ERT members with their fascinating discussion on a broad scope of governmental, economic and social issues.
