Marietta College places 14 on ‘Who’s Who Among Students’ list

Fourteen Marietta College students were recently selected for the 2012 “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”
 
Since 1934 students have been honored in the annual directory as outstanding campus leaders of the year. “Who’s Who Among Students” gives each chosen student national recognition as well as one of the most notable academic awards.

McDonough students conducting local job fair at O’Neill Senior Center

job-fairStudents from Marietta College’s McDonough Center for Leadership and Business have organized a community job fair for the Mid-Ohio Valley on Monday, Nov. 21, at the O’Neill Senior Center.
 
The job fair, which will include job opportunities and career information from businesses in the Marietta and Parkersburg areas, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Marietta group gains enhanced learning experience in Asian culture

asian-tripMarietta College’s Asian Studies Program recently took 31 students and faculty in the Chinese language and visual culture classes on a trip to the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Cleveland Botanical Garden.
 
In the museum, the students and faculty visited the special exhibition “Chinese Art in an Age of Revolution,” featuring the extraordinary works of art by the major modern Chinese master Fu Baoshi (1904-1965).
