Marietta College’s Board of Trustees approved the construction of a $24 million, 105,000-square-foot complex at the corner of Seventh and Putnam streets that will provide a health and wellness center, a dining area and some apartment-style units for 364 students.
As the final page of the 2010 calendar is flipped and a new year begins, it’s nice to take a moment to reflect on some of the many the accomplishments that have taken place at Marietta College. Members of Cabinet have singled out a list of moments that stand out in their minds as truly memorable events.
While mountaintop removal may not be a big concern on the Marietta College campus, for environmental activist Larry Gibson it’s something worth going to jail for.
