Flooding that hit the Mid-Ohio Valley in September and again in January affected many of the students, faculty and staff at Marietta College. In remembrance of the events that took place, Kappa Pi, the art honorary at Marietta College has conceived a project that will illustrate the feelings and emotions of the devastating floods.
Dr. Jacqueline DeLaat, a McCoy Professor of Political Science at Marietta College, will be a presenter at a conference in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from March 14-16.
Marietta College officials selected three seniors and one sophomore to receive an Investigative Studies Travel Fellowship, which allows them to present their research at conferences around the United States.
The students chosen are seniors Casey Trail, of Pittsburgh, Kathryn Moriarty, of Canton, and Melissa Yusko, of Jefferson, and sophomore Bradley Brannon, of Reedsville.
