Four teams of McDonough Leadership students at Marietta College celebrated the completion of their senior capstone projects in a seminar presented recently in the McDonough Center Gallery. The presentations summed up the work the students carried out on campus and in the community during the fall semester as part of their "capstone," or culminating, course in leadership.
Marietta College's forensics team experienced its most impressive performance of the fall by taking first place in Sweepstakes and winning the Moosnick Memorial Traveling Trophy at Transylvania University in Lexington, Ky.
Kate Gemmill has never met Craig Vogel, and probably won't.
But his enrolling in Marietta College this fall will indirectly make a lasting impression on Gemmill, a senior from Spring Grove, Pa.
Gemmill is one of three students who organized a week-long trip to New Orleans to help clean and rebuild Delgado Community College's City Park campus, which was devastated by Hurricane Katrina in September.
